Printing Checklists

All design jobs supplied to us need to fulfil all the following guidelines.

At TriLitho we have recogninsed that there are many conditions which need to be met before we can print a job. To help the printing process run smoothly we have devised this checklist. As long as these items are completed we will be able to print your job. Print out this page to use as a checklist.

• Supplied artwork saved in Mac or PC format and sent by CD or email.
• Supply a printout.
• Supply a printout, preferably a colour match proof, but a b/w lazer proof will do in most cases.
• All pictures must be supplied in CMYK, B/W or Pantone format
• CMYK or B/W images need to be saved as TIFF files
• Pantone images should be supplies in EPS format
• All images at a minimum of 300 dpi otherwise we cannot guarantee a good print quality.
• All images and fonts should be supplied with the artwork files.
• A 3mm bleed is required on all artwork. Set up your document to the correct page size and make sure items overlap the edge by 3mm.
• Artwork is supplied in any of the following file formats (Continuously updated): PDF, Quark Express, Corel 2,Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Publisher, Adobe Pagemaker, Adobe Illustrator.

Please note, any additional work done by our designers to implement the above on your behalf will incur our usual hourly charges and stop the production clock.

Magazines

For supplied magazine artwork we will need the pagination to be laid out on A3 sections.

There should be no gap between page layout and a 3mm bleed covering all corners of the A3

To work out which pages are to be laid out, follow these guidelines:

Outside Front cover to be laid out on same page as Outside Back cover.

Inside front cover to be laid out with inside back cover.
Even pages number always fall on the right and odd on the left.
